Delay Delivery Wizard
- Go to the Home tab, and Click New Email.
- Go to the Options tab, and Click Delay Delivery Wizard on More Options on the ribbon.
- The Delay Delivery Properties dialog box will open. Go to Delivery Options there.
- Click the checkbox Do not deliver before and set the date and time. Click close and send your email on a regular basis. The email will hold in the outbox waiting to be shipped at your scheduled time.
Tag group tool
- Go to the Home tab, and Click New Email.
Go to the Message tab, Click the Tag group right bottom corner for Message Options.
- A new dialog box will open like the previous method. Follow the previous method’s instructions.
Creating rules Method
- Go to the File tab> Info> Managing Rules & Alerts
- Go to the Emails Rule tab, click New Rule
- Select Apply rule on message I send and click Next.
- As no need to set any condition, skip steps 1 and 2 and click Next
- Microsoft Outlook will ask for confirmation, Click Yes
- Check the box Defer delivery by a number of minutes, Set deferred delivery time as you like. Click OK and Click Next. But be informed that t cannot be more than 120 minutes.
- Select exception if necessary. But no exception is needed here. Click Next.
- Specify a name for this rule, Turn on this rule and click Finish.
- Click Apply and OK to complete the work.
Important things to know
The Delay feature is reliable but you have to remember the following facts:
- Microsoft Outlook should be open.
- Your computer should be connected to the internet.
- Your device time and date should be correct.
